Eddie Starr

Eddie is from Columbia, IL and began working at Elite FT in late 2021 as a coach and is now our Goalkeeping Director. His role includes coaching players on the field as well as overseeing the Goalkeeping program. Eddie lives with his fiancé, Amanda, and their 2 fur babies, Milo and Otis. His favorite thing to do (outside of playing sports) would be to play with his very energetic dogs who love to play fetch, even if they run away when he tries to take the ball back. He also is a video game lover and thinks it’s a great way to stay connected to friends. Eddie played high school soccer and graduated from Columbia High School in 2014. He received an award for honorary mention for All-American! Then, he moved on to play collegiately at Maryville University and McKendree University, prior to changing his major to dental hygiene. His previous experience in coaching was at Vetta Sports as well as doing some goalkeeper training for the Steamers youth club and at Power Haus in Columbia! When asked about why he loved working for this amazing company, Eddie said “Working for Elite FT has many, many, many perks. It's hard to pick only one single thing that I enjoy about it, but the most rewarding experience as being a coach for Elite FT is seeing the things that we teach players, whether that be how to dive correctly for my keepers, or teaching the basics of how to pass or dribble and seeing the big smile during that ‘ahhh’ moment when they finally have it all figured out on their own, and they get something great out of it like a goal, or a save!”
