What should my child wear to training? He/she should wear comfortable/athletic-type clothing so they can move freely. Shin guards are recommended for ages 4+. We recommend outdoor soccer shoes when playing on the turf. Molded plastic cleats/studs will work best for traction and enhance your experience. Tennis shoes are ok for younger children. ABSOLUTELY NO METAL STUDS/CLEATS ALLOWED.
Does my child need to wear shin guards? We recommend shin guards for all children ages 4 and up. Ages 2-3 do not need shin guards.
Should we check in at registration each week? Yes. We keep attendance each week. Please check in each time.
How many girls and boys are in each class? All classes are coed. There are 8-12 kids per trainer. For goalkeepers, there are 6-8 athletes per trainer
Do we have to wear our free shirt every week? Yes. We would like your child to wear it each week.
Can I register my child in the middle of a program? Yes. You would need to register at camp at the registration table or call and register over the phone and bring a completed/signed waiver to training for a pro-rated price. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of camp. We accept cash, check or charge.
Do all of the instructors have experience/training? To ensure the best experience for our program participants, staff training is our top priority. Our ongoing staff education program is called The Elite Way! This program is designed to ensure our entire staff is engaged in the identical training methods and philosophies. It creates a training style similar to the KNVB (coach’s education program in Holland). In our program, all coaches teach the same style, so regardless which trainer is on the field, they are teaching The Elite Way!
What is the policy for allowing kids with special needs into your program? Children with special needs are welcomed in our program as long as we are equipped to assist them accordingly. Please contact your our Administrative Director for more information, firstname.lastname@example.org..
