We are not your average commercial gym, at Elite FT Training Center & Gym (located in Glen Carbon, IL at The Sports Academy), we always have a certified professional present and guiding all scheduled training times. Our certified coaches and trainers are here to instruct proper exercise technique, motivate, encourage, and ensure your safety while you pursue your individual health and fitness goals and experience. Your first visit is always free!  During this session our trainers will help you decide which of our 6 training programs is best suited for your fitness level and health and wellness goals.

Full Membership

You will have full access to the Elite FT Training Center & Gym and receive the full benefit of what Elite FT has to offer. Join in on our regular coaching hours, open gym, 30/30 circuit training, receive nutritional counseling and surround yourself with a fun, friendly and motivating community. ($75/month for first member; extra $25/month per additional family members)

*All of the following criteria must be met for additional family members:

  • Up to two adults
  • Dependent children 18 and under living in the same household
  • College students ages 19-23 if they are still residing with their parents
  • An additional non-dependent person living in the same residence may be added for an additional amount per month
  • Verification of residency is required
30 for 30 Membership
30 minute moderate-high intensity exercise circuits designed for those with limited time. These workouts focus on full body cardio, strength and core exercises in a fast paced circuit designed to get results — without spending hours in the gym. ($30 per Month)
Rent the Facility

Rent our facility and gym space for your own workouts and classes. We offer plenty of space for use of meetings, yoga, zumba, kick-boxing, and other group fitness classes. ($25 per hour)

Open Gym Membership
Gain access to the Elite FT Training Center & Gym during any non-scheduled “Coach in Session” or team training hours, while The Sports Academy is open. Ages 18 and up only ($20 per Month)

 

Teacher's Prep Hour

 

This new summer 2017 program is for school teachers only.  We have created a class to help you get or stay fit during the summer.

  • Your last day of school through your first day of school (Wednesday, May 31st – Friday, August 11)
  • Mornings: Mon, Wed, Fri; 8:00-8:55am
  • $150, add ‘Coach in Session’ option for additional $25

Memberships can be placed on a temporary hold.  This is a courtesy to accommodate the occasional vacation, illness or injury.  To place a membership on hold, please e-mail info@eliteft.com with your requested hold dates and a confirmation that you understand the following hold conditions:

  • The minimum hold period is one (1) month

  • The maximum hold period is three (3) months

  • Once three (3) months of hold has been reached, the membership must either be reactivated, or it will be dropped and any remaining credit will be forfeited

  • Holds may terminate early at any time

  • There are no retroactive holds:  You must let us know in advance if you wish to place you membership on hold

  • Upon expiration of the hold, the member’s account will automatically become active and payments will resume

  • Memberships can be cancelled by you at any time, but Elite FT must receive notification seven (7) days prior to credit card processing via an email to info@eliteft.com.  It is your responsibility to give us notice before your payment has been charged.  Once your credit card has been charged, we will not refund it.

  • If cancelled prior to six (6) months, early cancellation fees will be charged

  • Early cancellation fees will be one (1) additional month fee

  • Memberships will not be refunded if you do not use your membership

  • Failure to attend training does not relieve you of your membership obligation

  • Should you cancel due to serious injury you are entitled to a prorated refund of the current month’s charges

  • When the membership is cancelled, all Elite FT training ceases the day of cancellation

Strength Training Programs

Orange Level (Ages 16+)
This basic program is ideal for adults whose fitness goals range from basic weight loss to improvement of activities of daily living.  This program is designed to be challenging but keeping in mind that not all of our clientele are seeking to improve athletic performance. Members in this level should expect a great, safe workout using basic exercises to achieve a variety of fitness goals.
Blue Level (Ages 16+)
This advanced program is for our most experienced lifters and high level elite athletes.  It is designed to enhance athletic performance from a programming philosophy consistent with a modern collegiate strength and conditioning program.  This program is also beneficial for adults looking to enhance muscle development and cardiovascular fitness levels but who do not want the intensity of the Black Level.
Black Level (Ages 16+)
This adult only, highly advanced program will challenge you from the beginning to the end.  This program was developed by a CrossFit Certified Trainer and it incorporates all aspects of fitness. Each session will contain a power segment, a strength segment and a cardio segment to improve endurance.
White Level (Ages 8+)

This introductory program is for children and inexperienced lifters.  We believe that weight training should be introduced to young athletes in a safe and methodical way.  This program is designed to enhance athletic performance by teaching basic movements in a manner that is both safe and challenging. We also recognize that all athletes are not the same and our staff is committed to progressing each athlete in this age group accordingly.

Soccer (Ages 8+)
Our soccer program is ideal for a high school or collegiate athlete. Those participating in these workouts will experience a well-rounded variety of exercises that include everything from strength movements for full body muscle development, to single leg strength movements that enhance sprinting and cutting ability as well as balance. Upper body movements are performed with the goal of strengthening muscle groups that will allow athletes to compete in a sport that becomes increasingly physical with age, while accessory movements seek to correct common issues with soccer players such as poor posture and core stability.

Sport-specific programs are designed from a programming philosophy consistent with modern collegiate strength and conditioning programs. We have successfully designed and implemented programming to meet the demands of all sports, including soccer, baseball, swimming, football, track & Field, and tennis. Our staff will develop a program specific to the demands of the sport while placing emphasis on injury prevention, improved muscular development and coordination, strength and power development, improving speed and agility. Is the Elite FT Training Center & Gym the same as Elite FT?
They are two separate entities. The Training Center & Gym is a subsidiary of Elite FT.
What age can my child join the Training & Gym?
Our White Level is for ages 8+ and any beginner and starts with body weight exercises and progress to external resistance.
Is it appropriate for a 13 year old girl to be lifting weights?
Our White Level is great for all young female athletes. Workouts are based on physical and mental maturity. Athletes start with body weight movements to learn balance, coordination, flexibility and breathing technique. Then, female athletes advance as her physical and mental maturity allow.
I'm 60 years old. Do you have anything for me?
Our White and Orange Level programs are perfect for you.  We write our programs to fit all age and skill levels appropriately. Though members will be working out with people of different ages, our trainers are educated on how to motivate and challenge each client. Another option would be to participate in our Private Training Program.
Is is safe to do a class and my sports practice the same day?
Yes, however, which training session comes first does make a difference.  If there are any concerns about the effects a weight training session would have on a sport practice or vice versa, please inform our trainer so that they may modify the exercises appropriately.  
Are the trainers the same as the Elite FT Trainers?
The two companies are separate entities and thus have separate staff. The gym requires weight lifting certifications that are entirely different than the traditional Elite FT programs. There may be a handful of staff members that work for both companies.
Will the programs coincide with 6 Week Programs?
As the two companies are separate entities, the gym will be operated monthly versus a 6 Week Program.
Are the discounts in Elite FT the same as the gym?
The Training Center & Gym has a completely separate pricing structure. Please check the pricing table for details.
I’m a VIP member of the 6 Week Program, do I get membership to the gym?
Unfortunately, 6 Week Program VIP membership will not count towards the Training Center & Gym.
Can my child attend class everyday?
Yes. Your child can attend unlimited White Level classes.
Will there be weightlifting in the White Level?
This program focuses mainly on strength through functional body movements. There may be some very light weight movements incorporated in the workouts for the the older or more experienced athletes. Resistance training will depend on ability and maturity level of each athlete.
Will there be sport-specific weight training?
Members can sign up for sport-specific weight training through our Private, Small Group and Team Training programs.
The Black Level seems intimidating, what's another option that will still challenge me?
Our Blue Level is ideal for the adult athlete that does not want the intensity of the Black Level but is looking for a challenging workout that focuses heavily on muscle development and toning.  
What does a Blue Level involve? Is it just weightlifting?
The Blue Level is designed around a 3 month strength development cycle.  Month 1 will involve high rep ranges and low weight for general physical preparedness and muscle hypertrophy (growth).  Month 2 will involve development of basic strength.  Resistance increases and reps decrease boosting the athletes capacity to lift a higher weight effectively.  Month 3 will focus on developing absolute strength.  Rep ranges will be from 1-3 for a higher amount of sets with a focus on increasing overall strength numbers.  We stress to our clientele that the rep count and weight can be adjusted based on their comfort level.  Each session will end with a cardio component designed to enhance body toning.
Is childcare available?
We may offer childcare in the future. But for now, you can pay just $3 and have your child (ages 3+) play in The Sports Academy’s Play House.
Are there showers at the facility?
There are showers available for all morning classes.
Why are there not any machines?
Elite FT’s philosophy is focused on functional training.  Functional training involves resistance training with a focus on using the athletes own body weight to generate that resistance.  Those engaged in an extensive functional training program will experience a greater ability to handle their own body in various planes of motion.  Our gym employs the use of several different body weight training apparatuses to meet this goal.  Machines are not functional.  While a person who trains with machines may enhance muscle growth, they do not work the stabilizing muscles of the body. Machines carry less risk than free weights, however, functional activities require those stabilizing muscles to be strong. We ensure that all of our staff teach proper, safe technique.
